IOG Online Update for Geographix

This update is for the IOG Online Membership customers who use our digital data to import into GeoGraphix software. The newest version of GeoGraphix Discovery excludes the option of importing data with dashes. This becomes a problem when importing data that has IOG-XXXXX mixed in with regular API numbers.

ex: 15-XXX-XXXXX. > 15XXXXXXXX
ex: IOG-XXXXX > IO-XXXX (results in missing digits)

To solve this issue we are now giving 2 options for data downloads. With and without dashes. The best option is to use the choice "without dashes", then use the import routine for Red Top import (w/-) so that it does not try to strip the dashes out again. This will ensure that your IOG-XXXXX numbers are not missing any digits.

To obtain this new GeoGraphix IOG import, log into the GeoGraphix / Landmark customer support website. If you have not used this site before, begin by registering your GeoGraphix/Landmark support pin number (the number that you use for GeoGraphix/Landmark phone support). www.geographix.com

After entering the site, choose "Search Knowledge Base". Search for "IOG", and select solution number 122871 from the results. This solution includes the new import routine to download and directions on how to install the file.
